Russian piano virtuoso Rosina Bessie Lhevinne’s (1880-1976) career traversed oceans and eras. After she debuted at the prestigious Moscow Conservatory at age 15, war and opportunity in the United States allowed herself and her husband to accept faculty posts at the Julliard School.
