Though Hadassah has been in Southern California since 1916, the various Regions, Big Chapters, Chapters and Groups joined forces to become HADASSAH SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA on Jan. 1, 1996.
Hadassah Southern California is a multi-generational volunteer membership unit of Hadassah, The Women’s Zionist Organization of America. Its mission is to provide Jewish and Zionist connections that promote the unity of the Jewish people through opportunities for personal growth and education, acts of Tikkun Olam – healing the world, and financial support of Hadassah’s endeavors in Israel and in the United States. Hadassah Southern California is dedicated to helping women realize their potential as a dynamic force in American society.
