Jewish Women on the Map - Bryn Mawr College

In 1922, Rose Pesotta completed the program at the Bryn Mawr Summer School for Workers. She was later elected as one of the first female vice-presidents of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.
Lillian Laser Strauss, a graduate of the college and a pioneer in public health and child welfare in Pennsylvania, was the director of the Bryn Mawr Summer School for Workers in Industry. As a member of the board of directors of the Bryn Mawr College Summer School, she helped to establish several county nutrition clinics.
