It's uncertain whether Rebbetzin Chaya Moussia Schneerson, the Seventh Rebbetzin of Chabad-Lubavitch, was actually employed by the Brooklyn Public Library, volunteered there, or whether she just used the library extensively. What's certain is that the Main Branch (ostensibly, the same library that played an important role in Chaim Potok's book The Chosen) also served as an important role in Schneerson's life.
