While Seymour was getting his doctorate in chemistry at the University of Rochester, he and Sylvia lived in the home of Harold and Rhoda Rothchild (Seymour's older brother and sister-in-law). This photo was taken in their back yard. Seymour served as an army weatherman in the South Pacific during WWII and was attending the University on the GI Bill.
