Miryam Ulinover

Yiddish poet Miryam Ulinover, whose poetic depictions of a traditional Jewish shtetl express nostalgic memories of her childhood and deep religious faith, was killed in Auschwitz after the liquidation of the Łódź ghetto in 1944.
