Sheftall, Frances - still image [media]

Before the Revolutionary War, the Sheftall house was the scene of regular religious services for the local Jewish congregation. After the fall of Savannah, Frances Hart Sheftall petitioned Continental officers to intercede on behalf of her captured husband and son, all the while finding ways to keep her four children fed and clothed.
