Sanhadray, Tova - still image [media]

An Orthodox female politican in an era before religious women served in public roles, Tova Sanhadray was the first woman to represent the National Religious Party in the Knesset, where she served as deputy speaker for over a decade. Dedicated always to her fellow-women, she was instrumental in the formation of the religious Zionist women's movement Emunah, and then served as its chairwoman.
