Maze-Ida - still image

Ida Maze, who "loved all Yiddish poetry perhaps even more than her own," not only wrote lyrical poems in Yiddish, but "was indeed the den mother for a generation of Yiddish writers in Montreal,” whom she hosted at her "salon" for Canadian Yiddish culture. She is shown here (C) with fellow Yiddish writers Kadya Molodowsky (L) and Rokhl Korn (R).
