A former Bais Ya'akov teacher and scion of a Polish hasidic family, Reizia Klingberg responded to the German occupation of her native land by joining the Zionist youth resistance movement, serving the Craców group as a liaison until she was captured and sent to Auschwitz. She survived the war to begin a new life in Palestine.
