The International Council of Jewish Women (ICJW) is an umbrella organization for forty-nine affiliates representing some two million women in forty-six countries. It is also an officially recognized United Nations Non-Governmental Organization. During her tenure as ICJW president, June Jacobs used the ICJW's status to battle for the elimination of antisemitism and anti-Zionism, especially the potential resurrection of the “Zionism Is Racism” equation, from U.N. conferences and resolutions.
