Ginzberg, Adele - still image [media]

The wife of Jewish Theological Seminary Professor Louis Ginzberg, Adele Ginzberg herself played an important role in American Jewish community affairs. One communal achievement was her initiation of the Girl Scout project in 1946, which in turn led to the establishment of the Menorah Award for Jewish Girl Scouts. Pictured here is the Girl Scouts chapter of Congregation Bnai David, Detroit Michigan, ca. 1945.
