[Dialogue] taught me a lot. I saw that I could do things that I wouldn't have imagined I could do. Since the publication of A Spiritual Life, I've become much more of a public person. I'm comfortable with that, and I'm comfortable with doing readings and speaking in ways that I think I would not have been before that experience. I think it gave me a much fuller sense of competence and confidence in public kinds of activities.
