When they started [CHANA, the Counseling Helpline and Aid Network for Abused Women, Baltimore], at The Associated, they came to me, to the house, and I gave them what I had; I tried to give them some experience. And now our relationship is when somebody calls, if they need, there are times when I can be of help to them, particularly when its an Orthodox woman. We have a very nice working relationship. You have to realize I've been in the community so long that people knew me and trusted me, so I had to wean them away from me to go to CHANA, which little by little was done.
