Again, [The Last Empire, documentary about nuclear threat] was an example of us finding stuff that we were obsessively concerned with and making documentaries about it. And this kind of went on, every variation, every film we did after that - the ones on domestic violence, we did one on trauma and recovery - it's all related to our political action. We just released what we consider the third in the series on images of women's bodies and how women's consciousness is affected by media imagery... I think I'm an activist who just happens to express herself through film.
