From a very young age, so young I can't remember how young, people's rights, civil rights, social justice, all of those issues were very important to me. Certainly we saw on T.V. about Vietnam and I listened to my parents, mostly my mother, talk about Vietnam. I don't remember not talking about the issues of the day. I just can't remember not feeling passionately about some social justice issue.
