It was most often difficult to be there [in dialogue group]. It wasn't anything like sitting in a women's group talking about our mothers, when did you get your period, should women have aliyot [be called to the Torah], are men worth bothering with... That wasn't the tone at all. It was very serious and very intense... [The greatest challenge] was the need to be as honest and straightforward as you were capable of being, but also not to so antagonize people by what you said that the conversation would be broken off.
