Everybody's hopes were really high that we were really going to make a huge difference. And in fact, in retrospect, we did. There are times when I think -- and I think a lot of the white people who were involved feel like our efforts were a little misplaced -- it should have been the black people who did all this, instead of having white people come in from other areas and organize. But on the other hand, I'm not sure that it would have caught the attention of the country in the same way if there hadn't been white people involved. And that was the purpose at that point.
