I am very active in my school and through the student government, I have chaired the raising of money for different organizations ... the students are extremely, extremely responsive...
We think that as a Jewish community school, a very Zionist one, we thought it was very important that we come out and help Israel right now in her time of need, so we really lead many efforts in raising money. We ran car washes, sold different things and we went to the administration and asked them if we would be able to wear sweat clothes for one day and we had a program called 'Sweats for Tzedakah' and students were able to wear sweat pants to school which they wouldn't otherwise be allowed, if they paid two dollars and in that way...we were able to raise probably close to $300.
