It's my favorite story in terms of my kids about activism. When my daughter Sarah was in Kindergarten, they were going around the room saying what their parents did, and this was when I was very active in Beyond War, and she said: 'My mommy's ending war - that's what she does!' And her teacher called me up and said 'That was the most wonderful thing I've ever heard.'
And to me that's the heart of why I'm an activist - its not only for all the children, but your children -- they look at their parents [and] there's that period of time when you are in their eyes omnipotent and omniscient and boy! if they see you doing some thing good for the whole, it stays with them.
