What Else She Said

Arguments used to start, 'Gentlemen of the court.' And one day I was talking at the Mass Bar about seeing justice practiced, and I said, 'You know, when that argument starts "gentlemen of the court," I start fantasizing how can that lawyer lose.' And honest to God, it changed over night. Nobody started like that after that. And nobody does it now. And the law schools also teach that that is an inappropriate way to address the court.
