It's kind of hard for me to separate being a lesbian from being an activist, because I feel like they came really linked. I think my activism defines me a lot, though for the past little while I've felt like I haven't been doing a lot of activism, so I felt like, 'Who am I? What's my role now?'
So I did feel lost without having that and feeling like I was actively involved in something, so I guess in that sense it's pretty core. And I would like it to be more central. I'd like to do other stuff besides GLBT work.
