[My parents] were very much doers... They raised us to think that way. And I think, as I looked back on it, because I thought about this a lot with the women that I worked with in prison, my parents very much believed in me. They believed I could do anything I wanted to do. And they very much instilled that in me, that anything is possible. And I believed that. I didn't feel held back.
