My mother was very active. When we were not home from school, mother was out busy somewhere. She was always home when we got home, but she was always doing something... political kinds of stuff. She was a staunch Democrat. Even in her eighties, they were coming to invite her to cocktail parties... My mother [was a role model]... We always knew that she had things going on.
