My parents were always talking about when we were going to move back to Israel. That was very much sort of the psychology of how I grew up, the sense that this wasn't really our permanent home, yet a departure wasn't imminent.
I grew up with a really strong sense of Jewish Identity as a sense of peoplehood and that I definitely got from my parents. And I know that comes from being from Israel.
