I think that being Jewish has had an impact on my ability to be bold in situations and my experience of not quite fitting with other people, that piece of being a minority of sorts. Though I straddled both communities, there is that piece that allowed me to see the world in a different way and I'm just happy to be a part of the Jewish community. I think it's a precious identity to have and a very empowering one and there's just a tremendous history of social activism and political activism.
