Susan M. Reverby

Susan M. Reverby is professor of women’s studies at Wellesley College. She received her Ph.D. in American Studies from Boston University and has taught at Wellesley since 1982. Reverby is the author of the prize-winning Ordered to Care: The Dilemma of American Nursing, editor of Tuskegee’s Truths: Rethinking the Tuskegee Syphilis Study and other volumes in medical, nursing, and women’s history. Her current research focuses retelling the stories of the Tuskegee syphilis experiment.
