Leo Hershkowitz

Leo Hershkowitz is professor of history at Queens College, where he is the director of the Historical Documents Collection. Hershkowitz has written books on eighteenth- and nineteenth-century New York history, including Tweed’s New York. Hershkowitz sits on a number of committees on archives and landmark preservation in New York, including the New York City Mayor’s Committee on Archives.
