Dieter Hecht

Dieter Hecht received a Ph.D. in contemporary history from the University of Vienna. His specialization is Jewish women’s history in central Europe, the history of the Shoah and the restitution of looted art in Austria. He is involved in several historical projects in Austria and in Israel. Among his publications are a biographical study of Anitta Müller-Cohen and Mutterland-Vatersprache, an oral history study on Jews from Austria in Israel.
