Susan M. Chambre

Susan M. Chambré is a professor of sociology at Baruch College of the City University of New York, where she teaches courses on social policy and non-profit organizations. Her books and articles consider welfare dependency, volunteerism by older people, Jewish philanthropy and health social movements. She is the author of Good Deeds in Old Age and the forthcoming Fighting for Our Lives: New York’s AIDS Community and the Politics of Disease.
