About the Posters

The Jewish Women's Archive's poster series depicts the lives and achievements of eighteen women who challenged conventional expectations for women and helped change our world.

The Jewish Women's Archive poster series portrays the images, words, and life stories of exceptional women, from Bella Abzug to Henrietta Szold, who challenged conventional expectations for women and helped change our world.

The diverse group of women highlighted in the exhibit includes pioneering educator Rebecca Gratz, Nobel Prize-winning scientist Gertrude Elion, actress Molly Picon, and the poet Emma Lazarus.

Perfect for a synagogue, JCC, school, or gallery, JWA's exhibit includes 18 full-color posters (18″×24″) sent in tubes, with exhibit labels for each poster and an introductory text panel. (Exhibit labels will be sent on a CD-ROM in PDF format.) JWA will also provide expert consultation on exhibit-related programming and assist communities in using this national exhibit as a catalyst for locally based projects. Following the closing of your exhibit, the posters can be donated to your local synagogue or day school to help bring Jewish women's voices into the heart of Jewish education.

Posters can be purchased as a set or separately. You can see all of the posters and read more about these dynamic women in our online exhibit, Women of Valor.
