Collection Description: The collection is mainly correspondence but also contains photos of Goldman, Malmed, and Alexander Berkman, printed ephemera, and writings of Goldman and others. The correspondence includes over 450 letters, postcards, and telegrams from Goldman to Malmed, many of these include carbon copies of Goldman's other correspondence. There is also correspondence between Malmed and others and three letters by Malmed. The papers offer information about Goldman, her family, her involvement in the anarchist movement, her lecture tours, her experience in the Soviet Union, her feelings about being deported, the atmosphere in Europe before WWII, the Spanish Civil War, and her attitudes toward love, marriage, friendship, and Malmed's success in the business world.
